We recently appeared at GDC Canada, FuturePlay and Digital Kung-Fu. All part of Digital Media Week.

Of the events, Digital Kung-Fu was the best, followed closely by FuturePlay. Digital Kung-Fu was hosted by the Masters of Digital Media Program at Great Northern Way Campus.

They offered better workshops than GDC at only a fraction of the cost.

GDC Canada needs to rethink their strategy. Find a cheaper venue and dramatically reduce the admission cost. Make the conference more appealing to small and indie developers. Capture some of the excitement around experimental games and iPhone development.
